Fluid State Beer Garden: A Hipster Haven for Beer and Pizza Enthusiasts

Our first time today for Mother's Day 2025 and we couldn't have asked for a better day in the sunshine at Fluid State. What a great place - inside dining, and outside dining in two places. Great selections of drinks and food. Was so happy we snagged a parking spot across the street and got in and out with no problems. Margherita Pizza and Pretzal with Pub cheese = a fine dining experience in downtown Ventura! Thank you so much Fluid State!

Love this place. Pizza sourdough base is amazing, but feel there's a little too much oil on the pizza. This is only my second time here, and I will definitely be back again. Amazing ambiance. Great beers and wines on tap! Overall phenomenal value. Looking forward to working my way through the menu! Hopefully the rest aren't as oily.

Came here for dinner with my family. This is an order at the counter, sit yourself down kinda place. We were able to find street parking and a table easily. Ordered a few slices and a few other best sellers. 1. Dr Pepperoni — Kids loved their slice. Thin crust with crunchy pepperoni. I went for the same and really liked the sourdough crust. 2. Fungus Amungus — This had a generous amount of toppings on it and was flavorful. 3. Garlic Fries — I loved that these were thin. Had the right amount of garlic flavor. 4. Pizza Fries — This is one of their best sellers so had to try. It didn’t disappoint. Was yummy. Interesting concept. I also got one of the rice beers (lager) which I really liked. The staff were friendly. Will come back here if in the area

One of Ventura's best. The pizza is so good here and so fresh. I love the creative pies they come up with and the beer selection is always incredible. If you're in Ventura make it a point to come by. Cheers

Came on a Tuesday evening around 3pm and there wasn’t a lot of people. They had lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. We got the sourdough pepperoni pizza and one of the spiked ice tea drinks they had for happy hour. I loved the people working and the atmosphere of the store. People were super nice & it is dog friendly outside. I would come again! the pizza was so so good!

Got the pizza and a beer. Beer was a little overpriced and foamed to the brim. Pizza was good and they have a lot of healthy options too. Fun little industrial style brewery with a very comfy lounge area. Can sit inside and outside. Staff were great and buss boys were amazing too. Staying on top of everything. Will be back again.

Pizza here is scrumptious. First, it’s huge and second, the texture of the sourdough crust delights the mouth. I’m not sure if it was because we ordered mushroom pizza, but the crust was oily underneath. I don’t recall it being like that previously, so maybe they were being a bit heavy handed on the oil that day. Great place for groups, dogs, beer and wine lovers, and cocktail drinkers! See how almost everyone in your group can be happy if you chose this place? Sorry no picks of food, but if you want to see the recent menu…then I’ve got those for you. We wanted to see the menu because one person in the group has specific dietary needs. The website was no help.

Love this place, amazing pizza and great selection of beer. They do whole pies or slice. The inside is cool and the patio is also a great option
